Established in 1921, the Philips Hotel has been a cornerstone of Philipsburg dining and living for more than 80 years.  The Philips was originally built as a hotel, then later converted into an assisted living facility.  Now, the past is returning to the present, the Philips is being returned to its original glory as a hotel, restaurant and gathering place for family and friends. 

The developers of the Philips have a deep respect for the history of the Philips and look forward to the Philips becoming a premier meeting place for central Pennsylvania.  One of the most pleasant surprises of having this magnificant building is found when we talk our wonderful customers - nearly everyone has a fond memory of the Hotel and they share their memories of their past with us.  From the men and women who served our country during WWII by watching for enemy planes from the roof top to the many, many residents who celebrated their graduations and weddings in the hotel to the memories of PSU visiting football teams being housed at the Philips during football season.  We even learned that the Human Fly scaled the building in the 192o's!  We love it all.
